The old metal front porch on this centrally located Toronto home was replaced with a traditional-style entrance, giving the house a much stronger street presence. Inside, the basement was stripped back to the foundations and staircases removed, allowing for improved waterproofing, upgraded insulation, and the addition of in-floor heating. The reworked layout better accommodates the family’s needs as they grow.

The second phase will rework the ground floor with a new kitchen, powder room and an office in a rear extension. Large new windows will open up the house to the rear yard and plenty of afternoon sun.
